The Florida State Seminoles have been hit hard by injuries but they do expect Rashad Greene to play against the Syracuse Orange

The Florida State Seminoles have been hit hard by injuries as of late.

They will likely be without running back Karlos and have probably lost center Austin Barron for a majority of the season.

The Seminoles also lost star wide receiver Rashad Greene to a concussion in last week’s 43-3 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

However, on Wednesday Seminoles’ head coach Jimbo Fisher sounded confident he could play when the top-ranked Seminoles take on the Syracuse Oregon Saturday.

“He’ll actually be able to practice today, run around in individual drills,” coach Jimbo Fisher said Wednesday on the ACC teleconference via Patrick Stevens of Syracuse.com. “He’s been cleared to do that and then we’ll judge as practice goes and make a decision if he has any recurring things. He won’t get hit today. If he’s OK today, he could possibly get hit tomorrow and banged around a little bit. He’s progressed extremely well. We didn’t know if this would happen. His responses have been really good, but there’s still a lot of test situations he still has to go through.”

After practice Thursday, Fisher said he expected Rashad Greene to play.

Rashad Greene has 38 receptions for 576 yards and three touchdowns. The Seminoles and Orange will kick-off from the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York at noon EST Saturday. The game is on ESPN.
