Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Predictions Week 7

Cincinnati Bearcats at Miami Hurricanes

Line: Miami by 14.5

The Miami Hurricanes are getting better under Al Golden, but in two of the past three weeks they have run into bad match-ups in Nebraska and Georgia Tech. Still, Brad Kaaya is getting much better at throwing the football, which has opened up the offense. The Hurricanes want to use that this weekend with Cincinnati coming to town. The Bearcats have a very weak defense, and Kaaya and Duke Johnson and the rest of the offense should look to put up a lot of points to win this game. The defense needs to get its rhythm back as well, starting with getting off the field on time.

  • Cincinnati is coming off of an embarrassing blowout loss to Memphis. If they are going to pull off an upset against the Hurricanes on Saturday, then they need to mount long, time consuming drives somehow and then find a way to force Kaaya into making the mistakes he was prone to making earlier this year. Those two factors could pave the way for a potential upset.

    Predictions

Miami will jump out to an early lead behind the arm of Kaaya and never look back. They’ll be able to go to the ground game early to protect the lead, and that will make for even more points as Johnson torches the Bearcats defense. In the end, this come out to being a very easy victory for the Hurricanes.
