Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Predictions Week 7
Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks at Kentucky Wildcats
Line: Kentucky by 21.5
Don’t look now, but the Kentucky Wildcats are 2 wins away from a bowl game in Mark Stoops’s second season after pulling off the upset against South Carolina last weekend. Don’t forget that this team should be 5-0 instead of 4-1. And now, Louisiana-Monroe comes to town. To get that fifth win, the Wildcats need to make sure they stick to their game: a balanced offense, and making sure they continue that dominating defense. Doing that will assure them a home victory to keep their fans excited.

FanSided
Louisiana-Monroe, meanwhile, isn’t a bad team, but it will need to establish some kind of running game. Florida was able to beat them without a passing game, but South Carolina couldn’t beat them with a decent passing game. So a rushing attack is critical, which they don’t have, and a defense is needed as well. The Warhawks at least have a decent defense, but getting this win is still going to be very hard.
Prediction
Kentucky will play suffocating defense the way it has been, and the offense will score enough points to make this a comfortable victory. After Saturday, Kentucky fans will be close to making a strong case about being a football and basketball school. The fan interest is already there. Now the winning is coming.
