Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Predictions Week 7

Charleston-Southern Buccaneers at Vanderbilt Commodores

Here is the most boring game in the SEC this week. Or is it? The Charleston-Southern Buccaneers are 5-0, so this could be an FCS upset game to watch. Derek Mason’s Vanderbilt Commodores are 1-5 but have continued to show improvement under him. A blowout loss to Georgia is forgivable. Still, this team is ranked in the bottom of the country in every statistical category, so to win this game, the team is going to have to get some semi-decent quarterback play this week, whomever is starting.

  • Charleston-Southern can win in multiple ways. They’ve won defensive struggles 16-10 and 20-18, and they’ve won shootouts 47-41 in overtime. They also pulled off a 61-9 victory, so this offense and defense could show up together at any time. If that happens, this could be an upset.

    Prediction

Vanderbilt will get their second win. Charleston-Southern may play them close for half a quarter, but this game will turn int a pretty solid victory for the Commodores when it’s all said and done. Expect this team to run away with this one.
