Duke Blue Devils’ head coach David Cutcliffe commented on the recruiting troubles at Georgia Tech and Yellow Jackets’ head coach Paul Johnson wasn’t happy about it

On Saturday, the Duke Blue Devils will take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a key ACC Coastal showdown. Leading up to the match up, Duke head coach David Cutcliffe commented on Georgia Tech’s inability to recruit talented play makers on offense.

That did not please Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson.

“How many receivers have they put in the NFL?” Johnson asked after the Yellow Jackets’ Wednesday practice in preparation for Saturday’s game against Duke via Ken Sugiura of The Atlanta Journal Constitution. “I can tell you. None. They’ve had one offensive player (drafted by) the NFL in his six years there. … He probably ought to worry about his own business.”

“I would think he’s got enough problems of his own,” Johnson said. “He ought to worry about his own problems instead of helping us with ours. We’ve done pretty good against him so far.”

Both of these coaches have been known to speak their minds and have been part of a couple of incidents so it will be interesting to see how much more talk their is leading into Saturday.

Georgia Tech and Duke will kick-off from Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia at 12:30 pm EST Saturday.
