When the Notre Dame Fighting Irish take the field against the North Carolina Tar Heels Saturday, they will still be without their five players who are under investigation with the five players who are being investigated for academic dishonesty.
The Fighting Irish will again be without wide receiver DaVaris Daniels, defensive back Eilar Hardy, linebacker Kendall Moore, defensive back KeiVarae Russell and defensive end Ishaq Williams.
“Here’s what I know: None of our five guys practiced, so they will obviously not be able to play this weekend,” Kelly told Inside the Irish. “I do not have any specific information to share with you. If I did, I would probably let them share it with you.”
The Irish are waiting for the hearings and subsequent decisions from each player before releasing any news.
Obviously the Irish are hoping to get all five players before next week’s showdown with the top-ranked Seminoles in Tallahassee.
