It has been quite the weekend for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
First, Mississippi State entered the weekend ranked No.3 after taking down the Texas A&M Aggies 48-31 last week. Then, Mississippi State earned an even bigger win, topping the then-second ranked Auburn Tigers 38-23. That win was enough to propel them ahead of the defending National Champion Florida State Seminoles to become the country’s new No.1 team.
Before the became the top team, they earned a commitment from 3-Star junior college linebacker Traver Jung. Jung was on campus for the game and although he seemed very high on another SEC West team, the Arkansas Razorbacks, he committed to Mississippi State on Saturday.
The 6’4, 215-pounder is originally from Greenville, Mississippi where he attended Weston High School but currently plays for Holmes Community College.
Jung is Mississippi State’s 30th commitment for Mississippi State. Their class is ranked 12th nationally and seventh in the SEC.
