Saturday Blitz Pac 12 Power Rankings Week 7

The Arizona State Sun Devils are back in business. And after being Idle over the weekend, it has nothing to do with what they did. It has to do with a second UCLA loss, which allows them to move above the only team they lost to, and it has to do with the fact that USC, the team they beat in their last outing, has now beaten the team that was for sure the best in the Pac-12 just last week. Think that’s not enough to have this team in the Top 3?

The Sun Devils showed with Mike Bercovici at quarterback that they can still win and win with lots of yards. Bercovici racked up 500 yards through the air last game, and it’s what led to the thrilling victory over USC. If they can keep that up, this should be an incredibly exciting season for this team going forward. But it’s not going to be easy.

Arizona State still has to play Stanford, Washington, Utah, Notre Dame, and Arizona. What we think we know about this team could change real quickly, starting with the next four weeks. If the Sun Devils can pull at least 3 of those games out, our respect for them will double going forward.

It’s already high, evidenced by us considering the team to be No. 3 in the Pac-12.
