Florida State Seminoles’ head coach continues to defend and support quarterback Jameis Winston but he’s getting sick of talking about it.
When asked about Jameis Winston’s situation this week, Jimbo Fisher wouldn’t answer the questions with anything but “We’re moving on to Notre Dame.”
“We’re moving on to Notre Dame,” Fisher said during the weekly ACC coaches conference call. “[Monday’s] press conference is over. We’re getting focused on this game. We’re moving forward. That’s where our focus and concentration is right now.”
Jimbo Fisher then went complete Bill Belichick and said it twice more.
We’re moving on to Notre Dame,” Fisher said once more. “We’re getting ready for this game. We have a great game, a great opportunity. That’s the direction in which we’re moving.”
The media tried to something out of him again.
“We’re moving on to Notre Dame,” Fisher said for a third time. “We have a great game this weekend. We’re getting ready to prepare for that game. That’s where our sole focus and concentration is.”
Jimbo Fisher is obviously sick of talking about the situation. Unfortunately for him, it will be a topic until Jameis Winston is in the NFL.
The second-ranked Seminoles and fifth-ranked Irish will kick-off at 8:00 pm at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida Saturday night. The game will be on ABC.
