Ohio State Buckeyes’ head coach Urban Meyer got one over on his old team on Tuesday when 4-Stat athlete Jerome Baker flipped his commitment from the Florida Gators to Ohio State.

“I am officially flipping my commitment from Florida to THE Ohio State University. Thanks for all your support,” Jerome Baker tweeted. “I want to thank the University of Florida for a great opportunity and all of #GatorNation. Wish Florida the best moving forward.”

The 6’2, 210-pounder is from Cleveland, Ohio and attends Benedictine High School. With Ohio State being so close to his home town and rumors swirling that Florida head coach Will Muschamp, this flip wasn’t a surprise at all. He originally committed to Florida back in July.

Jerome Baker could play running back or outside linebacker at the next level. He is ranked as the country’s fourth-best athlete, the second-best overall prospect in the state of Ohio and the 46th-best overall prospect in the class of 2016 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
