ACC Power Rankings Week 8: Virginia Tech, N.C. St., Georgia Tech Fall, Florida St. Still No. 1
The same old ACC showed up this past week. This is the conference with an incredible level of parity except for two major exceptions: the team at the top and the team at the bottom. However, from No. 2 to No. 13, anybody could beat anybody on any given day. And that makes these power rankings very hard to do.
Ironically, though, with that knowledge, there still wasn’t much of a change from last week to this week in our ACC Power Rankings. A few teams shifted, but we didn’t do too much.

Notre Dame’s addition to playing a conference schedule has finally brought some entertainment, and they would clearly add to this conference if they were in it full-time. But outside of the Irish, there is a plethora of teams who are all from mediocre to kind of good but not great. And then there is one great and one awful team.
We know who they are, but it took a lot of effort to put this conference together from top to bottom. And it was a little bit more time than we would have liked, but we wanted to make sure to get it right.
So here are our ACC Power Rankings for Week 8 of the college football season.
