In what was the game of the week in
this week, the Florida State Seminoles rallied to take a 31-27 lead fourth quarter lead over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and held on for the victory in the final seconds.
After the game, Florida State head coach told quarterback Jameis Winston to stay humble and it was caught on camera. Throughout Jameis Winston’s troubles, Jimbo Fisher had admitted his quarterback has made poor decisions but he’s always backed him.
When Jimbo Fisher was asked about Jameis Winston on Monday, he again went Bell Belichick.
“We’re moving on with Louisville and talking about the other things,” Fisher said. “Everything should be great.”
Fisher was asked if his reputation had taken a hit from backing the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and that was the final straw for him.
“Why is my reputation taking a hit? For backing a kid who has done nothing wrong?” Fisher said via CBS Sports. “I don’t want to get into this. The questions weren’t supposed to be asked today. I’m done. I’m done.”
