What does a come-from-behind victory over the country’s fifth-ranked team do for your reputation?
It hurts it of course.
After defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 31-27 on Saturday night, the Florida State Seminoles lost ground to the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the polls.
Both Mississippi State and Alabama’s odds to win the National Title improved while Florida State actually went from 6/1 to 7/1.
Mississippi was idle while Alabama blew out the Texas A&M Aggies 59-0. It was an impressive victory for Alabama but Texas A&M had played Mississippi State and the Ole Miss Rebels in the previous two weeks and were competitive in those games either.
