Saturday Blitz SEC Power Rankings Week 8

Some fooling of us Texas A&M did. After a 5-0 start, we had every reason to believe that this team is legitimate and had a worthy Heisman candidate at quarterback. We had every reason to believe they wouldn’t miss Johnny Manziel. It was fun for everybody to see that Kevin Sumlin, not Manziel, was the genius behind the success that the Aggies had. Then came the past three games.

Kenny Hill has lost his “trill” card for right now. Bun B would agree with me. You can’t get shut out by somebody and expect anything more. We knew this Texas A&M defense would struggle because, although it is more talented than last year, it’s still young. Well, on Saturday it looked young and untalented. On offense, meanwhile, the Aggies weren’t much better being shut out by the Tide. They were supposed to at least be able to outscore teams. But that couldn’t happen.

The good news is Texas A&M is still a very good team that has a lot of football games left to prove its worth. Auburn and LSU are still on the schedule along with Missouri, so an 8-4 season is still very possible, which is what they did last year with Johnny Manziel. And the future remains incredibly bright.

But for now, we are keeping this team in the bottom half of the SEC until they prove us wrong.
