Saturday Blitz Big 12 Power Rankings Week 8

This is probably a little unfair. TCU just blew out Oklahoma State, and they drop in our rankings? Well, we didn’t know what else to do. We can’t put this team above Baylor just yet after losing to them very recently, and we had to bump Kansas State up after their win. That has required us to drop this team to No. 3 in our power rankings for right now.

The good news is the Horned Frogs are right smack in the thick of the Big 12 race and a lot more. If Baylor loses again, they would control their own destiny at winning the conference and reaching the College Football Playoff. But that’s if they keep winning. With a dominating defense returning to form against Oklahoma State on Saturday and Trevone Boykin becoming a superstar, all of this is very possible. Don’t sleep on this team.

A home game against Texas Tech is next on the schedule, then there is a road trip to West Virginia, another home game against Kansas State, and they close out the season against Texas, Kansas, and Iowa State. So the hardest part of this team’s schedule is fortunately over, but they still have a few opportunities to prove themselves coming up.

And based on the way they have played recently, we are very confident they can do that.
