Saturday Blitz Big Ten Power Rankings Week 8

After not playing this past weekend, we had no reason to move the Badgers anywhere, but just like Michigan, we moved teams around them. Wisconsin now gets to be back above Northwestern, despite losing to them, because Northwestern has to explain for the way it has played the past two weeks. The Badgers have still not been impressive, but they are Wisconsin. And they are still not without weapons.

Melvin Gordon is a superstar running back, possibly the best in college football, and Corey Clement is not far behind. A dominant offensive line has helped them out at the same time. The only problem this team has, well two problems actually, is inconsistency at quarterback and poor wide receiver play. But this team has shown flashes of having a passing game at times, so if that continues to develop, it could be deadly.

We’ll find out going forward with a visit from a good Maryland team this week. Following that they have Rutgers and Purdue, which should be wins but could be tough on the road, and then they have Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota. So we’re in wait and see mode with this team.

But we do believe it has talent, which is why we put it at No. 6.
