Ole Miss-LSU Highlights Vegas SEC Predictions Week 9
Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Predictions Week 9
Vanderbilt Commodores at Missouri Tigers
Line: Missouri by 21
The Missouri Tigers might be the most unique team in college football history. And what is unique about them is going to have to continue if they want to keep winning. They simply can’t rely on Maty Mauk to win games. But to make the win against Vanderbilt comfortable with the Commodores coming to town this weekend, it wouldn’t hurt if he threw a couple of touchdowns and gained a few yards against a transitioning defense. If he can do that, and if the defense behind Shane Ray can disrupt the very weak offense that is Vanderbilt, Missouri should have no problem winning this game.

With the First Pick
For the Commodores, Derek Mason’s team needs to not do anything on offense. Seriously, just play field position and don’t punt or kick it to anybody. Missouri should have to prove it can score against teams with its offense, which it has hardly done over the past few weeks. As the worst team in the conference by far, that’s Vanderbilt’s best chance of winning, so they should do it. And at that point, maybe, just maybe, they could pull off the upset.
Prediction
Missouri won’t have any trouble in this game. The Tigers will keep the Vanderbilt offense from doing anything, but it’ll still have a turnover that sets up a touchdown, and Maty Mauk will lead at least a couple of nice drives. Special teams will impact this game at least once as well.
