Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Predictions Week 9
Syracuse Orange at Clemson Tigers
Line: Clemson by 14
The Clemson Tigers appear to have found their rhythm and are now on a roll. With the Syracuse Orange coming to town, the offense doesn’t look as explosive with Cole Stoudt at quarterback, but the Tigers still have enough talent to get the job done. The key is for Stoudt to do what he did last week in Dabo Swinney’s offense: close to 300 yards and 0 turnovers. Doing that should be enough for this team that is loaded with weapons to get the victory comfortably at home. But if Stoudt starts to struggle, then watch out. This team could face some significant issues.

With the First Pick
Syracuse, meanwhile, is in a little bit of trouble under Scott Shafer. The Orange don’t get a lot of credit for beating Wake Forest over this past weekend, and they still have a plethora of problems, but they appear to be better without Terrel Hunt. If they can continue to make plays in the passing game the way they did last week, they may have a chance in this game with enough Clemson turnovers. But that’s asking a lot of things to go right.
Prediction
Clemson won’t have any trouble at home against the Orange. The Tigers are now playing like a Top 25 team and have given us no reason to believe that they’ll fall off this Saturday, so we have this team winning comfortably at home.
