Well now things are interesting. After the selection committee revealed its initial Top 25 this past week, we’ve realized that they aren’t going to have some sort of “Democratic” process to fairly represent every conference.
The best teams will go to the playoff.
In the ACC’s case, that makes winning for the elite teams even more crucial because this is not a conference on the level of the other Power Five conferences. And it makes this weekend’s slate of games incredibly exciting.

We finally have the game everybody has been waiting for in the Thursday night Florida State-Louisville showdown. The Seminoles will tell us a lot more about them with this game. And so will the Cardinals.
But the slate doesn’t end there. Duke and Pittsburgh is a game between a team trying to stay in the bowl hunt and another one fighting to be a part of that elite category. Then there’s UNC-Miami, two teams who had disappointing starts to the season after lots of hype but appear to have gotten on a role as of late.
Boston College-Virginia Tech and Virginia-Georgia Tech are two other games that’ll be worth tuning into, so don’t ignore this slate of games.
This is a slate that is bound to bring lots of entertainment and interesting outcomes, many of which could surprise us, the way ACC football always tends to do with so many decent teams but not many great teams.
So with that, here are our Vegas ACC Predictions for Week 10 of the college football season.
