Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction: Miami wins 45-35
This is a game between two teams who are on a roll, but the Hurricanes are going to be the one to come out on top here, and it’s for a number of reasons.
First, the overall raw talent is on their side. Now that we have that out of the way, let’s bring up the fact that the Tar Heels, despite now starting to win some, still can’t play defense at all. And Miami has this guy named Duke Johnson who can run all over them.
Think that’s not enough? Consider that Brad Kaaya has gotten much more efficient over the past few games and isn’t really turning the ball over anymore. That’s a major problem for a defense that, well, is just plain bad.
And finally, the Hurricanes have a pretty good defense on their own. No, they won’t be able to completely shut down Marquise Williams or even limit him, but they can keep him from dropping 40. And when you’re playing this team, that’s all that matters.
Al Golden’s group comes through with a big home win to move to 6-3, and if that happens watch out. A home upset of Florida State may not seem so crazy then.
