Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction: Virginia Wins 25-24

Somehow, some way, this Virginia team is going to pull out the victory on Saturday. The Cavaliers play really good defense, despite being inconsistent on offense, and with Mike London’s team desperate to get to a bowl, that’s going to be enough to will these guys to victory on Saturday.

Georgia Tech has shown a tendency to turn the ball over a little too much at times, which Justin Thomas has to avoid. That has lost them a game for certain already, and it will lose them another one here.

The Cavaliers will shut down the Yellow Jackets on a consistent basis and give their offense the short field with a couple of crucial turnovers that make the difference in the game. An odd turn of events will make this an odd score, which is why we are calling for 25-24 in a game that could go either way.

But London’s team appears to be very well-coached and to have a very different mentality than the one last year, and Paul Johnson’s Yellow Jackets, as always, have shown themselves to be extremely inconsistent once again. The combination of the two things is what will give Virginia a victory in Atlanta over the weekend.
