Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction:

Washington State Huskies

Yes, we are calling the upset here. USC is technically still in the Pac-12 South race, and they still play UCLA. But none of that really matters.

This team is demoralized by the loss to Utah last week, and Steve Sarkisian’s group is a little bit mentally weak this year. They don’t know how to deal with success, and now we are going to take it that they don’t know how to deal with losing. That combination has led us to pick the Huskies against this team.

USC already showed on defense it can struggle against a pass-heavy offense in Arizona State or rush-heavy offenses in Boston College and Utah. Mike Leach’s pass-heavy offense will get the best of them on Saturday, as Connor Halliday throws for 600 yards.

This is a Washington State team that, despite being 2-6, isn’t scared of the big moment. The defense is awful, and this game will be a shootout as Cody Kessler and Javorius Allen get their stats for the Trojans.

But in the end, Washington State will pull away in an exciting, typical Pac-12 basketball game.
