Saturday Blitz Vegas Prediction:

Wisconsin Badgers

After a horrendous passing game to start the season, Wisconsin appears to have gotten back on track. A blowout win at Maryland at least gave that appearance.

Joel Stave’s play at quarterback was efficient enough that Rutgers should be scared. The Scarlet Knights are similar to Iowa in the sense that their 5-3 record isn’t that impressive, but it’s not to the same degree that Iowa’s is.

Still, Wisconsin has Top 25 talent, and with the passing game improving, Melvin Gordon only becomes that much more of a deadly threat at running back. So does Cory Clement.

The combination of the two with a solid passing game is going to be enough for Wisconsin to win this game in a comfortable way similar to how they beat Maryland, even if it isn’t extreme.

The Scarlet Knights have good quarterback play in Gary Nova and good coaching in Kyle Flood, but they don’t have the horses or the size to match up with the Badgers.

Wisconsin is on a roll now after losing to Northwestern, and they are not going to let up on that come Saturday. The Badgers win on the road.
