Anthony Boone, Quarterback, Duke Blue Devils- 23 of 31 for 266 Yards & 3 Touchdowns; 7 Carries for 47 Yards & 1 Touchdown (Defeated Pittsburgh Panthers 51-48 in 2 Overtimes)

All season long, Duke’s defense has been coming through for them to stay on top of the ACC Coastal division. But finally, when the defense needed to rely on the offense for a game, the offense came through. And Boone led the way.

With more than 300 yards of total offense and 4 total touchdowns, Boone showed his mobility and efficiency on Saturday. He didn’t have a single turnover in the process either, showing that he is developing the way David Cutcliffe-coached quarterbacks have always shown themselves to develop. That’s something to be excited about.

Boone was not in the game on the winning touchdown, as backup quarterback Thomas Sirk ran it in for the win. But he was the reason the Blue Devils were in position to win the game, along with a lucky missed field goal by Pittsburgh.

For coming through in a huge way in a close game on the road, he is a Blitz Points Winner.
