Kelvin Taylor and Matt Jones, Running Backs, Florida Gators- Combined 50 Carries, 401 Total Yards, 4 Touchdowns (Defeated Georgia Bulldogs 38-20)

This had to be a dual effort. Kelvin Taylor and Matt Jones were the reason for Florida’s upset over Georgia, and make no mistake about it. The Gators had no passing game, and the Dawgs knew exactly what was coming every play. But they couldn’t stop it.

Georgia’s defensive line got embarrassed because Taylor and Jones ran it down their throats. This game has nothing to do with the way Treon Harris played or the way the Georgia offense played. It has everything to do with the way these two ran the ball in the game. Florida only had one play the entire game, and they ran it consistently. And Georgia couldn’t stop it.

That’s a result of Taylor and Jones. And by the way, they didn’t just use this play to squeak out a victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. They used it to win in a blowout.

This game was never close, and it was all due to the fact that Georgia could not stop the run. For that, we are going to give joint Blitz Points to Taylor and Jones for heroic performances in an epic Florida upset.
