You didn’t read that number wrong. We are dead serious. While Dak Prescott has rightfully been getting a ton of glory for Mississippi State’s remarkable season so far, a lot of the love has to go to this other skill player that keeps racking up yards for the Bulldogs offense in Dan Mullen’s spread.
Josh Robinson is running and catching balls for lots of yards in a conference that dominates defensively. And he’s in a system predicated on running backs not putting up huge numbers. The combination of those two things make it remarkable that he’s put up such big numbers so far this season. And he’s a game changer.
Robinson saved the day for the Bulldogs on Saturday with Prescott battling an injury against Arkansas. Down 10-0, Robinson was the one who took over, and he did whatever was needed to win the game. So while Prescott deserves lots of credit for the way the Bulldogs have played throughout the year, don’t forget about this guy. He has been the safety net all season.
