After a crazy loss on the road to West Virginia that we can’t hold against them too much, the Baylor Bears are back to looking amazing. This team once again put up basketball stats on Saturday, albeit against Kansas. With only 1 loss but a win over TCU, by hook or crook, we are putting this team at No. 2 right now.

What’s crazy about these guys is that although we know what Bryce Petty and the loaded, balanced offense can do under the leadership of Art Briles, the defense is somewhat the story as well. Yes, they gave up a ton of points to TCU, but as a whole on the season they’re surrendering just under 22 points per game. That’s a great complement to the No. 1 offense in the country. But we have to see more before we put them at No. 1.

This month will tell us all we need to know about Baylor. Oklahoma is up this week, and Kansas State is the final game of the season. If they win both, they lock up the Big 12 title. If they lose one, they’re in trouble.
