Saturday Blitz Vegas Big Ten Prediction: Michigan Wins 31-10

Michigan is re-energized. The resignation of Dave Brandon and win last week has the fan base excited once again, and it has trickled down to the players. Even if Brady Hoke is on his last leg, the Wolverines are going to have a strong finish to the season. It starts on Saturday against a Northwestern team that is falling apart under Pat Fitzgerald.

The Wildcats were clearly on a fluke run in late September and early October. This is simply a bad team that showed in the worst way after its blowout loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes this past weekend. Their lack of defense and consistency on offense will get them again Saturday.

Devin Gardner will have a decent game and not make too many mistakes, allowing the offense to put up points, and the Wolverines defense, which hasn’t been terrible throughout the year, will rip the Wildcats to shreds. Expect a defensive touchdown, maybe two.

Michigan pulls out the win on the road and gives Wolverines fans a little bit of hope that the team may be turning around as the season winds down.
