Saturday Blitz ACC Prediction: Boston College Wins 31-27

Bobby Petrino’s first Louisville Cardinals team in his return has surprisingly been winning games through a dominant defense and by forcing turnovers. But in all honesty, their only halfway decent win of the year has been against Miami. And the Hurricanes were breaking in a brand new quarterback that night.

Louisville is running into a Boston College team that runs an offense unlike anything they have seen all year, and the Eagles under Steve Addazio have been incredibly good at not turning the football over. Those two factors combined with the fact that they are playing at home are enough for us to believe that Boston College, which has the same record as Louisville, will pull out the victory on their home field.

The Eagles rushing attack was expected to be good, but this year it’s even better than last year, and they have shocked the world by improving upon last year’s team overall with all of the turnover. Petrino still has a good team, but Will Gardner will make just enough mistakes on offense for Boston College to pull out the close win and move to 7-3.
