Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: Clemson Wins 27-7
We have maintained all year that Wake Forest would be in for a very long year given that it’s Dave Clawson’s first season. His track record proves that, but it also proves that fans must be patient because they will be much better in the years to come.
Still, for this year the problems facing Wake Forest are the same problems that face every inaugural Dave Clawson team: the offense is terrible. The defense isn’t bad, but the offense is a complete waste of time to watch.
And that’s a bad sign with Clemson coming to town on Thursday. The Tigers just might be the hottest team in college football right now, and even if Deshaun Watson doesn’t start for them on Thursday despite being back on the roster after being injured, Cole Stoudt will be able to lead this team to an easy victory.
Clemson has looked ugly in many of its wins under Stoudt, and against a terrible team with at least a decent defense, this game will once again be ugly. But the Tigers run away comfortably with it.
