Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: Florida State wins 41-20
Florida State and Jameis Winston are going to do the same thing in this game that they have done all year, but it won’t be as extreme. The Seminoles are playing a decent Virginia team that can force turnovers on defense and shock teams that are better than them simply because Mike London has done a pretty good job coaching this team up.
So Virginia will pick up a 17-7 lead over Florida State in the first half that has everybody excited. Florida State makes it 17-14 going into halftime, and Virginia picks up one more field goal. That’s when Winston will do what he has done all year, rally the troops, and turn this around to come away with a very easy, comfortable win.
The Seminoles are obviously far too good to struggle with Virginia for four quarters, and expect the defense to do something impressive as well, possibly picking up a touchdown or two, on Saturday.
Unfortunately for UVA, the path to a bowl berth looks a lot tougher because after they lose to Florida State Saturday, they’ll have to beat Miami and Virginia Tech. It seems too unlikely, and there’s no way they win Saturday.
