Saturday Blitz Vegas Big 12 Prediction: Iowa State Wins 31-10
Buckle up for the fight to not be last in the Big 12. And get out of the car quickly because this game is going to get ugly, on the scoreboard and by the way the teams play.
Iowa State is not a terrible team despite their record. Remember that they did beat Iowa and almost beat Kansas State, and their other losses are to everybody else in the Big 12, all of whom are good teams, and North Dakota State, which is now more of a loss to a Top 25 team than an FCS team. If the Cyclones played in a mid-major conference, they could be a 9-win team.
The same can’t be said about Kansas. So it’s only fair that we pick Iowa State in support of the fact that they don’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as the Jayhawks, who are flat-0ut pathetic.
In this game, neither team has a good defense, but Kansas has a decent rushing attack, and Iowa State has a decent passing attack. Iowa State’s offensive skill set is more noticeable, and they have a better defense that is still bad.
The Cyclones won’t go anywhere this year, but they at least will get some respect back, even if it’s minuscule, after picking up a comfortable win Saturday.
