Saturday Blitz Vegas Pac 12 Prediction: UCLA Wins 34-23

The UCLA Bruins are back on a roll, but the offense and defense both play Jekyll and Hyde football. That’s why they can win shootouts or defensive struggles. Last week, they won a defensive struggle, so this week we are predicting that Jim Mora’s team win in a mild shootout.

We say mild because Washington likes to run the ball a lot under Chris Petersen, so that will keep this game from being a barn burner, but it will still be high-scoring. Washington will move the ball a lot on UCLA’s defense and stall a few times in the red zone, and Brett Hundley will throw the ball all over the Huskies for the Bruins to pull out the victory.

Washington is a very good team that is making strides to play Petersen’s style of football, but it can’t compete with the Bruins yet, even at home. UCLA is going to have an offensive field day with this team as they simply keep on winning. And they’re not out of the Pac-12 South race just yet, especially with Utah’s loss last week. There’s no way they blow a second chance against Washington.

UCLA wins fairly comfortably.
