We’re done with Jameis Winston in the Heisman race for this year. Every week he keeps digging a hole for his team to climb out of, and then we give him the credit for climbing out of it. But it’s not him doing it. It’s the loaded amount of weapons on this Florida State team. And Rashad Greene is the leader of that group.
Greene now has six 100-yard receiving games on the year after this past Saturday, including a 200-yard game and the one game when Winston didn’t play. He has consistently bailed Winston out of some bad, inaccurate throws, and he hasn’t missed a beat despite the departure of his partner in crime from last year in Kelvin Benjamin.
Greene is officially a superstar wide receiver who keeps coming through in the biggest moments for Florida State and for Winston, and for that we have decided to put him in our Heisman trophy race. He’s clearly one of the best receivers in college football, and that keeps showing on a week to week basis.
