Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: North Carolina Wins 38-31

This is a game featuring two teams desperately trying to get to a bowl game. And it could be the determining factor in which team stays home this year. We’re going with experience and explosive offense over balance and no experience.

The Pitt Panthers and Paul Chryst have such a young team that, while they are good enough to have had a few more wins, they have been held back by mistakes and inexperience. That’s going to be the case on Saturday. James Conner is a superstar running back who will get his yards against a weak North Carolina defense, but Chad Voytik will make just enough mistakes on offense.

And the defense won’t be able to stop Larry Fedora’s Tar Heels. Marquise Williams will throw 4 touchdown passes and have no problem torching the Pitt secondary all day. The defense, as it has done all year, will be unable to get any straight up stops to win the game, unfortunately. But it will get a turnover or two, which will be enough for this team to come away with more points in the end.
