Saturday Blitz Vegas Big Ten Prediction: Penn State Wins 20-10

These Penn State Nittany Lions are clearly not as good as we thought they could have been at the beginning of the year. But they are 5-4 and have enough talent to beat the Temple Owls, especially on defense.

James Franklin’s team has had a rocky year, and with that getting to a bowl is an absolute must. Here is their chance, and they shouldn’t blow it. Doing so would be disastrous.

Christian Hackenberg needs to work on having the appropriate amount of confidence, and he has to make sure he doesn’t turn the ball over along with the rest of the offense. Not getting sacked is a pretty important thing too.

At the same time, the defense has to step up and do what it has done all year. A good enough defense, good special teams, a solid running game, and limiting turnovers should all make for a winning formula. And the Nittany Lions can do all of those things.

We believe all of that will happen, and Penn State will pull out another ugly win at home.
