Saturday Blitz Vegas Big Ten Prediction: Ohio State Wins 42-24

Sorry Minnesota Golden Gophers fans. We don’t believe this team is legitimate, and the loss to Illinois says a lot more to us than the blowout win over Iowa. Meanwhile, Ohio State has such a strong case to make to be in the College Football Playoff that Urban Meyer’s squad is not going to let the opportunity to blow out another Top 25 opponent go to waste.

The Buckeyes are going to turn this into a quick scoring affair, and it will be no problem with the amazing level of football J.T. Barrett has been playing at recently.

The defense is still an issue and will give up a few long run-oriented drives to the Golden Gophers, but the offense is more than good enough to make up for it. And it will show in this Top 25 match-up that won’t be nearly as exciting as it might look on paper.

Jerry Kill’s team is still a very good team, but they have no shot against the Buckeyes at home on Saturday. Ohio State wins running away in a blowout to stay in the national championship race.
