Welcome to the most critical weekend of SEC football. This is the weekend to determine if the SEC championship is a two-horse race or gets burst wide open. It will also indirectly affect the College Football Playoff scenarios.
Our Vegas SEC Predictions for this weekend involve lots of games you can’t miss.
The big one is obviously Mississippi State-Alabama. If the Bulldogs win, they pretty much lock up the SEC West title unless a miracle happens. But if Alabama wins, which many analysts are expecting to happen easily, then the SEC West race could potentially be thrown wide open.
That’s not the only game to determine the outcome in that division.
The Auburn Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs also meet in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry, and don’t pretend that game doesn’t mean a lot. Whomever wins that game gets to barely stay in the College Football Playoff race, while the other is completely eliminated. And they both have stake in another SEC game. For Auburn, it’s Mississippi State-Alabama, and they ironically have to pull for the Tide to have any crazy chance to get to the SEC Championship. And for Georgia, it’s Texas A&M-Missouri since they need the Tigers to lose to win the East.

And speaking of Texas A&M-Missouri, here’s a crucial game between two teams fighting for respect and to be in the Top 25. The winner will almost certainly be ranked, and in Missouri’s case could determine one half of the SEC championship game.
Still not enough for you? Try LSU desperately wanting to stay ranked and on the road in a rivalry game against a very good Arkansas team desperately trying to reach a bowl game and get a conference win.
And finally, we have South Carolina-Florida between two teams desperately trying to reach a bowl game as well, and Tennessee-Kentucky is a match-up that all but eliminates the loser from bowl contention. So in case you haven’t noticed yet, every singe game matters this weekend, and they are all toss-ups.
Who wins these crucial games? Here is our take in the Vegas SEC Predictions for Week 12 of the college football season.
