Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Prediction: Auburn Wins 45-17

Earlier in the week, just like Alabama-Mississippi State, we had a different pick. Then the Vegas point spread changed our opinion.

Mark Richt’s Georgia Bulldogs are now expected to win a big game against a good team. If you know anything about the history of the Georgia Bulldogs, that means a loss. And it means a terrible loss because Richt’s players have no ability whatsoever to handle expectations.

And unlike Florida and South Carolina, when they had expectations and hype against decent teams, there is hype in this game against a great team. It’s unfortunate, but that simply means a blowout in Athens in Auburn’s favor. In fact, Georgia will get so embarrassed that the calls for Richt’s head will dramatically increase again.

Hutson Mason will be rendered useless against the Auburn defense. The Georgia defense showed that its an embarrassment when it comes to stopping the run in a spread offense two weeks ago. After what Florida did, imagine what Auburn’s going to do to this team.

Many of us have tried to pick the Bulldogs to meet expectations for each of the past four years. But we’re done now. They get blown out on Saturday as they always do.
