10 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Forced Fumble

Just like Alabama against Mississippi State, you could give a lot of people on Arkansas’s defense credit for their upset win over LSU on Saturday. These guys pitched a 17-0 shutout, so obviously the credit should go to somebody on defense.

But that entire unit, again, just like Alabama, could get the credit. So who do you go with?

The winner has to be Martrell Spaight. Spaight had 5 solo tackles, 5 assisted tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble to secure the win for the Razorbacks on Saturday. T

he senior linebacker is the biggest reason that Bret Bielema’s team now has a great chance to make a bowl game if it can find a way to upset Ole Miss or Missouri at the end of the year.

Either of those games could be winnable if the Razorbacks keep playing this well on defense.

And the reason for that great defense lies with Spaight. If this team reaches 6 wins to get to a bowl, fans will definitely point back to this game and specifically Spaight’s huge performance. For being all over the field, he is a Blitz Points winner as well.
