Todd Graham-Arizona State
We’re now to the bonafide Gordon Gekko of the list, slicked back hair and all, Coach Todd Graham. Here’s a small sample of his notable off the field ‘acrapmissments’ as we’ll call it, cause he’s a general on it, which makes him highly sought after. But if you get the chance just watch him on the sidelines, cause he looks like the only teflon suave jerk out there.
Coach Graham has been called the ‘King of Liars’ by media after leaving Pitt job to take Arizona State after only one year. Graham responded by calling most assistant coaches ‘nothing but mercenaries’ because of how much coaches in general, take jobs frequently. Graham sent out a group text to his players, effectively leaving right after the season was over in December. Said Pitt senior tackle Lucas Nix, ‘We put our trust in him and all he could do was send us a text message?’ At least Bobby Petrino sent his professional players a card.
He’s been very successful at Arizona State, but who’s to say he won’t leave for a better job the minute the door opens up? What if Florida comes calling? What about Michigan? The Sun Devils had to know this going in when they hired him. If he bails on them, they can’t say they didn’t see it coming.
