Nick Saban– Alabama
How do you have a list of college football coaching jerks and not have Nick Saban on it? Coach Saban is probably the previous three’s idol that they aspire to, cause they sure wish they had his national titles. Off the field, Saban’s a firestorm in the press room, constantly calling out media if a question isn’t to his liking. And on the practice field as well as in game situations, Coach Saban is emotionless if he’s up 50 or down by 3 with no timeouts left in Death Valley Baton Rouge with 48 seconds left. It must be like looking into a shark just before he bites you, those black eyes would be the last thing you’d ever see. Trust me there was no shortage of clips to choose from when it came to Saban. There was the ‘I’m not going to be the Alabama coach’ presser from when he was with the Miami Dolphins. There was the sideline cursing, the no emotion after getting Gatorade dumped on him after clinching the national title. You name it and there was pages of Nick Saban video, but he’s the best at what he does, jerk or not.
Well there’s a short list, but a formidable one. But how can I speak of Woody Hayes and not show you the two videos he’s most famous for. They don’t make them like Woody anymore: The School of Jerk.
