Overall Record: 86-61

Age: 58

Art Briles’s job resurrecting the Baylor football program might be the most impressive coaching job in all of college football over the past seven years. Well, it’s probably second to David Cutcliffe’s job at Duke.

But what Briles has done at Baylor is still incredibly impressive. And it’s only getting better. He’s responsible for a new stadium being built, overseeing the school’s first Heisman trophy winner in Robert Griffin III, and now putting the team in the national championship race.

Who ever saw this coming for the Bears before he got there?

And by the way, Briles thrives off of explosive offenses. As we have been saying during this whole article, Florida needs a coach who will bring a high-powered offense to the table. With that in mind, Briles is your guy.

He has even managed to recruit at Baylor. Bryce Petty was a hot commodity coming out despite only being a 3-star. Imagine how he could recruit at Florida. Briles should seriously be considered.

But once again, age may come into play. And once again, that’s really unfortunate because the Gators could get a lot out of him for 10 to 15 years.
