A bowl game is going to be very tough, though. Baylor and Oklahoma are the final two games of the year, and both are on the road. That means that the Cowboys could miss out on a bowl game all due to strength of schedule. But we still have lots of respect for this team.

Oklahoma State Cowboys 5-5 (3-4)

Last week: Lost to Texas Longhorns 28-7
Last rank: 7

The worst part about the Oklahoma State Cowboys falling to 5-5 is that it doesn’t make Florida State’s win over them look that good anymore. To be fair, Mike Gundy has a very young team, and the rest of the college football world knows it

Couple that with injuries and a good bit of bad luck, including playing Texas as the Longhorns are starting to get really good, and you have the result you have right now.

The Cowboys were already replacing their quarterback at the beginning of the year, and having an injury to their new quarterback, J.W. Walsh, was going to make things very difficult. Daxx Garman has done his best, but once they started playing the very good teams in the Big 12, these guys simply had no hope. Now, the hope just has to be to make a bowl game and have some momentum for the future.
