Saturday Blitz Vegas ACC Prediction: Miami Wins 27-17
We hate to do this because we would like to pick the Virginia Cavaliers to go to a bowl game. At 4-6, Mike London’s team has dramatically improved over last year, and unlike another conference team, North Carolina State, these guys were actually willing to play some good teams out of conference.
But we can’t pick them to beat Miami.
The Hurricanes are on a roll, and Al Golden is very close to having this team back to playing Miami football. They have a dominant defense, an amazing running game with Duke Johnson, and a quarterback in Brad Kaaya who is developing every week. Kaaya will eventually become a star.
Virginia, meanwhile, plays great defense and can keep anybody in check, which is why the score will only be 27-17, but they won’t be able to score enough in this match-up to have any shot at winning the game. Even at home, we can’t pick them against the Hurricanes right now.
Miami will move to 7-4 and is very close to staking a claim to get back in the Top 25 despite only playing in the ACC.
