Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Prediction: South Carolina Wins 45-14
Steve Spurrier’s South Carolina Gamecocks managed to get back on a roll and gain some momentum back in a massively disappointing season with an elating comeback victory against the Florida Gators last week. Before that win, they were in postseason jeopardy. After that win, they simply need to win Saturday to get to the postseason.
And who is honestly going to pick them to lose to South Alabama?
This game will be an easy blowout from the start. Yes, Dylan Thompson has struggled at times this year, but he showed last week his capabilities of coming through in some of the biggest moments.
There won’t be a big moment on Saturday, though, because the team will dominate from start to finish. Even the defense, which has had trouble adjusting to the 3-4 scheme all year, will get in on the fun and play well. There’s too much momentum behind this team to blow a game to South Alabama.
And given the way the season has gone compared to preseason expectations, saying this team has any momentum is incredibly remarkable. South Carolina wins.
