Closing out the season against the North Carolina Tar Heels gives this team a great chance to prove that it is a very good football team, but it has to somehow find a way to win the game. Otherwise, their 6-6 record is too pathetic to warrant anything above this spot in the ACC Power Rankings.

North Carolina State Wolfpack 6-5 (2-5)

Last week: Idle
Last rank: 12

We’re sticking to our guns with our absolute refusal to give North Carolina State any credit for being bowl eligible this year. And if all the ACC slots can be filled, these guys should be the ones left out. 6-5 with their pathetic schedule means nothing.

Jacoby Brissett has been erratic at quarterback, and the defense is terrible. Beating Wake Forest and Syracuse for their only two wins with non-conference wins against Georgia Southern, Old Dominion, South Florida, and Presbyterian is a pathetic slate and doesn’t warrant a bowl game. All the Wolfpack and Dave Doeren have done this year is put together a much better record than last year and prove that they aren’t the worst team in the ACC. But they have done nothing to prove that there is anything decent about them.

There is one final chance.
