SEC football is winding down, and the dominant teams still haven’t changed. But after being ridiculed all year long, it’s safe to say that the SEC East is catching up to the SEC West.
And that is going to show in this week’s SEC Power Rankings.
It’s time to acknowledge Missouri and Georgia, who keep on winning in the East. Meanwhile, other teams from the bottom are starting to make a name for themselves as well, most notably the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Going into this weekend, there is still the potential for 11 SEC team to be bowl eligible when it’s all said and done. Two still have to win, though.

This is far and away the toughest and deepest conference in college football. After Missouri’s win to gain respect, Arkansas’s second straight major upset, and the rest of the conference beating up on nobodies, there is parity in the conference we didn’t see coming, and it’s made for a number of teams that would all be in the Top 25 in any other conference.
So how do we sort them out? The Top 2 are easy, and the last-place team is easy. Everything else is tricky.
See where we placed all of them and why in our Week 13 SEC Power Rankings.
