10-1 (7-1). Previous: 1st. Oregon Ducks. 1. team. 105. As we continue to talk about the two-loss teams desperately fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoff or the Pac-12 Championship game, one team doesn’t need help to reach either: the one-loss Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 North.
These guys are firmly in control of their own destiny for both spots.

Marcus Mariota is turning into the Heisman leader if he keeps up his play over the next two weeks, and the healthy offensive line has made this an incredibly deadly team that we didn’t see coming a few weeks ago. This team is very good and might be one of the best Oregon teams, which is saying something, but they still have to avoid slipping up as well.

Yes, Arizona at home was a fluke loss, but Oregon State on the road could also be a fluke loss. So the Ducks have to make sure they don’t let their College Football Playoff hopes slip away with a bad upset loss like that. But the Ducks for right now have earned their right atop the Pac 12 Power Rankings with only one loss. And somebody will have to beat them to knock them off the top.
