Saturday Blitz Vegas SEC Prediction: Tennessee Wins 45-21

Did you ever think that you would live to see the day when there would be a year that you would utter these words: Tennessee has to end its two-year losing streak to Vanderbilt to reach a bowl game?

If you did, you would have come across as crazy. But that’s exactly the prospect the Vols are faced with.

Just as Tennessee began to feel itself and think it had something with Joshua Dobbs at quarterback, the young team was knocked back down to Earth with a home loss to the Missouri Tigers. Now, the pressure is on Tennessee to win a road game against the worst team in the SEC to get to 6-6.

And that’s exactly what they’ll do. For starters, this game is in Nashville. It will be a home game for the Vols. Also, this is not the same team as the Vanderbilt teams coached by James Franklin. In fact, Derek Mason’s team may be the worst team in SEC history judging by the numbers.

And the Vols still have a lot of talent, despite being dinged up, that Dobbs and Co. should cruise to an easy win. Tennessee restores order to state supremacy this year by beating Vanderbilt easily to get to 6-6.
